I am a cognitive neuroscientist with expertise in psychopharmacology, social neuroscience, and clinical trials. My research focuses on the neurobiological mechanisms of social and affective behaviour, particularly in trauma and anxiety conditions. I hold a PhD from Liverpool John Moores University, where I studied the impact of sociability on affective touch perception. I was an assistant professor at LJMU for 18 months prior to transitioning to a postdoc. I have held postdoc positions at Linköping University, the University of Chicago, and Wayne State University, contributing to projects on cannabinoid-based interventions and novel treatments for trauma-related disorders, and exploring the impact of drugs on social behaviour. I am committed to advancing inclusive mental health research and currently serve on the executive and IDEA committees of the European Behavioural Pharmacology Society (EBPS).
